Ayurveda is a journey of discovery. It teaches us the delicate nature of balance, it invites us to understand and build relationships with herbs and practices of our ancient roots. It is intentional, elemental & simple. It will rewire how you choose to live your life, how you're meant to, in close relationship with our mother Earth & the seasons/cycles that we are governed by.

Are you ready to to create a life of intention?

In today’s accelerated world, the body’s signals are often overlooked. Stress, depletion & imbalance become normal states. Ayurveda offers a return to grounding, nourishment & the natural cycles that restore balance within, known as svastha (the ideal condition of health where the three doshas ~ Vata, Pitta & Kapha ~ are in equilibrium).

Just as each leaf carries its own ancient wisdom; each petal holds a whisper of healing & each body is a vessel to commune with that natural intelligence.

We believe wellbeing begins with coming home to yourself: slowing down, tuning in & reconnecting with the intelligence that already lives within you.

Here you will find an ode to balance. And reverance to the great mother, & all the mothers.

Maha

The Sanskrit word maha (महा, mahā) means "great," "large," "mighty," or "noble."

It's mostly used as a prefix attached to other words to elevate their meaning or signify importance, but it can also be dissected into its root sounds;

Ma (Maa) - is a root sound meaning that which is ‘limited’, that which can be ‘measured’ and that which is governed by ‘time’. It is also 'the act of creation' and refers to the mother (matr) associated with emotional warmth & comfort. In many cultures, it is one of the first words spoken by a child.

Ha - In Hatha (as in hatha yoga) ha, means 'sun' and tha, means 'moon'. These are opposing energies, the active and the passive, the masculine and the feminine. Ha is also associated with the sound made when breathing out, haaaaa.

There are many different ways these sounds can be interpreted within different contexts but I like to think of the word Maha being a combination of balancing energies. Ma being the great mother, the feminine and Ha, the great sun (Surya), the masculine.
